REEF BRIEF RECAP OF AMA SESSION WITH AVALANCHE

Question: Reef users will be able to seamlessly invest in baskets of cryptocurrencies and DeFi activities running on Avalanche. Can you tell us more on how this will work?

Ans. Avalanche is coming up with exciting new defi activities, and what happens on Reef's side is the following: Our analytics engine is indexing those, and just like the rest, it extracts certain fundamental metrics from which it further derives risk levels. Then in order to be able to support investing into those activities, we need to deploy our infrastructure and add support for these in our basket engine. Additionally, we are working on a "bridge/wallet" which will help the users cross the bridge with ease (initially the users will do it themselves, but right after the wallet is available, this will be super useful. Question: Are there any plans on expanding Reef & Avalanche partnership even further?

Ans: Definitely. We are starting by utilizing the bridge and deployment of our infra, but there are so many more things that we are able to do - one of them was already mentioned earlier - synthetic representation of the baskets. There are so many points of collaboration and innovation. We are taking it step by step.

Question: How would you explain your recent integration with Reef Finance to the community? How are Reef users benefitting from it?

Our partnership will allow Reef users to benefit from the yield opportunities in the Avalanche ecosystem. There are quite a few interesting defi projects that are launching on Avalanche that Reef users could interact with.

Ques: Can you tell us more about the milestones Avalanche has reached so far, what are you working on currently and your plans for 2021?

Ans: Sure thing. First off HNY to all. And before we go into 2021. It seems like just yesterday where we reached some huge milestones in 2020. Avalanche was launched on the mainnet in Sept. It was amazing to see the amount of AVAX we have staked and secured the network. We were over $1bln USD of AVAX staked.

Question: Avalanche is an interoperable,highly scalable, open-source ecosystem for launching decentralized applications and enterprise blockchain deployment. How would you best describe Avalanche to the Reef Community?

Ans: Yes we are both interoperable and scalable! To start from the beginning, the Avalanche platform is powered by Avalanche Consensus.
In short, Avalanche consensus is the most scalable consensus protocol. Scalable not only in the number of transactions per second the network can process, but also scalable in the number of nodes that are securing the network.
