Seascape in the ring with Duelist King

Hello Scapers!

It’s another fine day to scour the Seascape Network for more news and updates. This particular update stands out though: Seascape has gone into partnership with Duelist King! Once again, Seascape has shown that it has a fervent desire to give only the best to its fans and users, this collaboration with Duelist King is just another evidence of this. In fact, to commemorate their collaboration, Seascape is hosting a Gleam campaign in collaboration with Duelist King, with up to 100 NFTs up for grabs by community members!

This article will be focusing on this new partner of Seascape, an overview of what they do and their native token.

What is Duelist King all about?

Duelist King (DK) is a democratized card game in which all decisions regarding card issuance, distribution, and proceeds allocation are governed by decentralized mechanics on blockchain to ensure fairness, openness, and the best interests of the community. The DKDAO platform, a meta-ecosystem for game distribution and digital asset issuance, powers DK. DK aims to transform the way people buy, collect, play, trade, and earn in card games by leveraging the distinct permissionless, verifiable, and community-driven power of blockchain democratization and decentralization.

DK intends to champion tokenization and democratization of card games by combining the power of DAO and tokenization to provide a transparent, community-owned, and permissionless card game in which all stakeholders, including players, collectors, creators, and investors, are incentivized to participate in, grow, and reap the benefits of the DK game. They accomplish this by utilizing blockchain technology, specifically Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), and decentralized mechanics to revolutionize card games in unprecedented ways. They also intend to build on the Cardano blockchain to take advantage of its unparalleled sustainability, efficiency, and security, as well as to support all EVM-compatible chains.

Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) and decentralized Random Number Generator (dRNG) are two of the previously mentioned decentralized mechanics. These two tools are built-in input processors that power card distribution in a fair and transparent manner. Unlike traditional distribution schemes of card games in lootboxes, DK uses an oracle to process external inputs to a decentralized RNG in a manipulation-proof and 100 percent random process, allowing fair distribution of cards; while DAO, as an open source, transparent, and community-powered entity, will govern the entire eco-system.

The DKT Token

Duelist King’s native token (DKT) is a transferable depiction of attributed governance and utility functions specified in the Duelist King protocol/code, and is intended to be used solely as an interoperable utility token. DKT is the native governance token and economic incentive that is distributed to encourage users to contribute to and participate in the ecosystem on Duelist King, thereby creating a mutually beneficial system in which every participant is fairly compensated for its efforts.

DKT is an essential and necessary component of Duelist King because there would be no incentive for users to expend resources to participate in activities or provide services for the benefit of the entire Duelist King ecosystem without DKT. Due to the fact that additional DKT will be awarded to a user based solely on their actual usage, activity, and efforts on Duelist King and/or proportionate to the frequency and volume of transactions, users of Duelist King and holders of DKT who did not actively participate will not receive any DKT incentives.

This partnership between Duelist King and Seascape is sure to bring maximum utility to users and fans, and this NFT giveaway is just one step towards the rewarding experience that users can look forward to.
